Jack Nicholson, who just played a cancer patient in "The Bucket List," couldn't make it through his dinner at London's Wolseley Restaurant without popping outside for a smoke break. Of course, Jack was more than happy to pose for pictures and sign autographs for his fans. The actor signed a photo of himself as the Joker from 1989's "Batman" and when asked about the late Heath Ledger, who is playing the same role in "The Dark Knight", Jack rather mysteriously responded "I warned him." Someone ought to warn Jack about the dangers of smoking!

Actress and geography scholar Charlize Theron made an appearance at Utah's Sundance Film Festival to attend the red carpet premiere of her film "Sleepwalking" which co-stars Woody Harrelson, Dennis Hopper and Nick Stahl. The lovely actress, sporting a slick, shoulder-length bob, signed autographs for fans as she made her way down Main Street in Park City. Other celebs strolling around town included Puff Daddy and Phylicia Rashad, in town to screen "Raisin in the Sun", the radiant Virginia Madsen and TV favorites John Stamos and Alan Alda.

Some lucky Los Angeles family may soon have some very famous neighbors! Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were doing a bit of house hunting in LA yesterday. The couple, and their adorable daughter Violet, have been residing in the Big Apple, while Jen was on Broadway in "Cyrano de Bergerac". Since Jen's run in the play is over, Hollywood once again beckoned, and the family is looking to relocate. That house looks pretty big - are Ben n' Jen planning on giving Violet a brother or sister sometime soon? Those two do make cute babies!

Lindsay Lohan was seen wiping a tear from her face after she learned of the passing of actor Heath Ledger. The actress, who was having lunch at West Hollywood eatery Le Pain Quotidien, looked visibly shaken after hearing the news. Lindsay and the late Australian actor were believed to have been dating as recently as December of last year, and TMZ reports they were "quite close" for some time.

Autopsy results on Heath Ledger, who died unexpectedly in New York yesterday, have come back inconclusive. Toxicology results will not be available for at least 10 days. Partially-filled bottles of prescription
sleeping pills and anti-anxiety medication were found in the actor's bedroom and bathroom. TMZ has also reported that the NYPD found a suspiciously rolled up $20 bill with a powdered substance on it. Heath's family continues to insist that the actor's death was accidental.

Britney Spears has been seen around town lately without her paparazzo squeeze, Adnan Ghalib - what gives? Brit, seen here with an unidentified female friend, heads to a Starbucks with ciggies firmly in hand to get her caffeine and sugar fix. The pair then head to an Indian restaurant, with the usual throng of photographers in tow. Adnan had been out of town, attending a family funeral, but has told "Entertainment Tonight" that their relationship is "far from over." Has anyone noticed that Brit's been attending depositions since Adnan's been out of the picture? Maybe he should stay gone!
