And you just thought David Beckham was a sexy soccer player, underwear model and arm candy for wife Victoria Beckham...he's so much more! Our favorite imported athlete is also a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF, and took time out of his busy existence to visit Sierra Leone in west Africa to call attention to issues of child and maternal survival in the former British colony. David smiled as he greeted children and families in the area and, of course, managed to squeeze in a little impromptu soccer match!

Australian actor Heath Ledger, who received critical acclaim for his role in "Brokeback Mountain" was found dead in his SoHo apartment this afternoon. The actor, who recently completed work on the Batman sequel "The Dark Knight," was found unconscious in his bedroom by a housekeeper. A police spokesperson reports that foul play is not suspected in the actor's death and that pills were found in Ledger's bedroom. Ledger was 28 and is survived by his daughter with actress Michelle Williams, Matilda Rose.  

Sarah Michelle Prinze was on last night's "Late Show with David Letterman" promoting her upcoming film "The Air I Breathe." Sarah and hubby Freddie Prinze, Jr. were in Hawaii over the Christmas holiday, so Sarah was happy to see Santa Claus among the fans who greeted her as she arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theater! On the show, Sarah told Dave about attempting to surf on her vacation, which didn't go as successfully as she had planned. I wonder if she asked "Santa" for a surfboard so she could practice before her next Hawaiian getaway?

Don't fret over R&B singer and former hubby to Ms. Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown. The ladies still love the former lead singer of New Edition, as evidenced by the female fans who approached Bobby at LAX with cameras in hand, eager to take a picture with him. Bobby, of course, was happy to oblige. After his impromptu photo session, he got into a waiting car, driven by another unidentified lady. Just last year he was divorced from Whitney - is he already "Humpin' Around?"

Looks like the freezing fun of the Sundance Film Festival took its toll on one Kim Kardashian, who looks beat as she and her football player boyfriend Reggie Bush arrive at LAX after a weekend of premieres, parties and swag collection! Kim rests on her carry-on, waiting patiently for the rest of her luggage and clutching her Louis Vuitton purse. Reggie, always the gentleman, waits by the baggage carousel for their bags. Now that they're back where it's warm, Kim needs to get rid of that awful-looking wrap!

The star sightings continue at this year's Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. Mischa Barton left the warm weather of the O.C. to attend the fest, and was seen wisely walking around town. I don't think we'll see her driving  anytime soon! Other stars sighted under layers of warm duds included Maria Bello, Anjelica Huston, Adrian Grenier, Lauren Graham and in the "what are they doing here?" category, MTV reality vixen Audrina Patridge.
