Thanks goodness that the stars still have an opportunity to get all dolled-up this writer-less awards season! The 2007 National Board of Review awards were handed out last night at Cipriani in New York City and the red carpet was overflowing with stars. Catherine Zeta Jones, whose hubby Michael Douglas won a career achievement award at the ceremony, took the opportunity to punch legendary screen actress Lauren Bacall in the kisser! Some of the big winners were Ben Affleck for his directorial debut, "Gone Baby Gone", George Clooney as best actor in "Michael Clayton" and "No Country for Old Men" taking best picture honors. 

Queen Latifah, looking quite different from the refined hostess of last week's dismal "People's Choice Awards" presentation, cut loose with pal and hip-hop superstar Missy Elliot in LA on Monday night. The glowing Queen,whose flick "Mad Money" opens on Friday, and the blinged-out Missy were spotted exiting West Hollywood's trendy Villa Lounge and hopping into a limo with a bunch of ladies. And a "mad" time was had by all!

Britney Spears and Adnan Ghalib continue their kid-free fun in California with a stop at an LA drug store. Britney shows who wears the pants - not the underpants, mind you, in this twisted relationship by having Adnan hold her purse while she walks the aisles. Well, she did hire him as her "personal assistant!" You know what comes next - sitting with the guys on the benches at the mall while the women shop!

Kate Walsh and pal Keisha Chambers (wife of Walsh's former "Grey's Anatomy" co-star Justin Chambers) exit an Al Anon meeting at Hollywood Presbyterian Church.  The duo then step (probably more than 12) over to Cafe Solar de Cahuenga where they meet up with another gal pal and enjoy iced teas.

Model and actress Elizabeth Hurley landed in Mumbai, India today and was seen chatting on her cell phone as she exited the airport. She was most likely calling her Indian businessman hubby Arun Nayar, whom she married last March in Mumbai (and England). Liz was clad in an Indian-inspired shirt and beige suede jacket, and from the looks of the amount of luggage she has, she's likely to stay for a while!

Ashley Tisdale is certainly proving to be the anti-Lindsay, isn't she? The girl works out constantly - here she is leaving a Los Angeles gym yesterday, sans BFF and workout buddy Vanessa Hudgens. The clean-scrubbed actress/singer, who - at 22 years old - still looks young enough to be in high school, then went shopping - at healthy supermarket Whole Foods. Ashley's such a good girl that she even returned her cart after she finished shopping - I'd like to see Linds do that!
