Well, it seems Jessica Alba is saving her smiles only for promotional appearances. The actress was positively beaming at the LA premiere of the supernatural flick "The Eye" at Hollywood's Cinerama Dome last night. Jess' co-stars Alessandro Nivola, Fernanda Romero and young Chloe Moretz were also spotted on the red carpet. Jessica, accompanied by "baby daddy" and fiance Cash Warren, looked stunning in a blue dress, which managed to boost her pregnancy glow up a few notches. The smile didn't hurt either...come on Jess, you're a mom-to-be, is it that hard to look happy?

Two unsuspecting ladies lunching at Mauro's Cafe, adjacent to LA shopping mecca Fred Segal, were treated to an impromptu set from elusive comedian Dave Chappelle, who had the gals laughing up a storm. Dave could be testing out some new material, like he did in a New York comedy club a few weeks ago. Dave enjoys aggressively hitting on the female audience members during his gigs, which it certainly looks like he's doing here, but his advances shouldn't be taken seriously, as Dave's very married. I wonder if he told these ladies to "tip their waiters" before heading back out onto the LA streets?

Aussie singing sensation Kylie Minogue's bright smile managed to brighten an otherwise dreary, rainy day in London. Earlier this week, the 39-year-old Kylie returned from Paris and a performance at the NRJ Awards, where she was spotted with her ex-fiance, actor Oliver Martinez, with whom she broke up with last February. Kylie's latest album, "X," arrives in the US in March. With Britney out of the way, at least for a while, could 2008 be the year Kylie becomes our reigning pop princess?

Paris Hilton wouldn't usually be so happy to pose with such an unattractive gal, but when the gal in question is actress Christine Lakin, Paris' co-star in "The Hottie and the Nottie," the heiress-turned-actress is all smiles. The dynamic duo showed up at LA's Katsuya restaurant last night, with poor Christine having to dress as her character in the film, complete with (fake) bad teeth, unibrow and (also fake) moles. I know some girls purposely hang out with less attractive girls to make themselves look better, but isn't this going a little too far?

Gwyneth Paltrow, who recently vowed to avoid the U.S. at all costs after a run-in with the paparazzi a few weeks ago, was spotted on the street in New York City. The actress, who counts Madonna among her very best friends, visited the Midtown Kabbalah Center on Thursday. Paltrow stayed in the building for about an hour, and was escorted out by her driver. Could she be seeking spiritual enlightenment - or praying that her upcoming flick "Iron Man" does well at the box office?
