Area residents were put on high alert by the National Weather Service
today as ZZ Top frontman Billy Gibbons' beard arrived at Los Angeles
Airport.
Citizens are advised to check their emergency preparedness kits and chart potential escape routes, as the NWS estimates that the presence of Gibbons' beard increases the possibility of a wildfire in the Los Angeles area by 23 percent.
A temporary moratorium has also been issued on open flames in certain local areas. Those areas include any place in the vicinity of Gibbons at any given time.
In the event of an actual wildfire further instructions will be given on local broadcast stations.
