James Spader Becoming Roger Ebert's Doppelganger!

MD 20/20: 05/20/2008
OMG! What happened to the evil-but-hot 'Steff' we secretly lusted after in Pretty and Pink!?

James Spader has gotten all... doughy. Let's hope it's just preparation to reprise his role in the sequel to the Bret Ellis adaptation Less Than Zero (1987)... More Than Zero: After Money and Drugs Comes Donuts and Beer.

Mr. Spader and pregnant girlfriend Leslie Stefanson get ready to depart from Los Angeles International Airport on Sunday.

We'll give him a pass this time around since he may just be gaining sympathy weight. Awwww!

James Spader is still the sexiest! Yes, he gained weight but he is handsome and SUPER.

Frankly I think James Spader and Leslie Stefanson both look adorable in these pictures. Look around, most guys in their late forties gain weight. He was super thin for much of his career, it's time he was able to enjoy the things in life that please him. Just as long as he does not gain so much weight that it is really unhealthy for him.

Look at the picture-he's putting his shoes back on after going through security. She's already done....
They have a new little one in the house. Think I heard it's another boy...

Why is he sitting when she is pregnant and standing? Makes me wonder about his overall health.

Uhhh look at him from 1996... which is only 12 years ago - he looked fine... Something must be making him look so awful.

My question is why do guys in Hollywood get a "Mulligan" if they get dumpy looking but women get crucified by the press and DON'T get any more work if they do the same???

Once again somebody is comparing the James Spader from twenty years ago to the one we see today. Even if he didn't put on the extra weight; he wouldn't look like he did in the '80s. It's called aging. Maybe you've heard of it? Besides, if my husband or boyfriend put on a few extra pounds and still looked this good...I would be one happy woman.

He's still gorgeous! He has this magnetism that just can't be shut off. It may be his sheer talent. He's our generations' Sidney Poitier.

Ummm, he's looked the same for the last two years. Mr. Spader jokes that he started putting on weight when he "got a desk job" - that is started apperaing as a lawyer on Boston Legal. Maybe you've heard of it? He won the Emmy twice for the roll. Where have you been?
